CORE AERATION & OVERSEEDING SERVICE

A major component of our organic services.

Did you know?
Your lawn can benefit from a core aeration and overseeding that introduces new more hardier grass varieties. Lush lawns depend on good quality
soil texture, disease and insect resistant grass varieties.

Aeration/OverSeeding—a two step process that will improve your lawn:

•        Aeration relieves soil compaction, speeds up thatch breakdown, improves water intake and percolation through the root zone, improves
nutrient intake, enhances air exchange between soil and atmosphere,  ensures better seed-to-soil contact,  improves turfgrass root development
for stronger lush grass

•        Overseeding especially benefits older lawns in need of rejuvenation. Many older lawns were established with common type turf grasses not
suited for the needs of today's homeowner. They're often more disease and insect prone, requiring more synthetic fertilizer and water.

•        Overseeding newer turfgrass varieties into an older lawn can help it better withstand insects, disease, drought, shady conditions and heavy
traffic. The investment in overseeding pays off by reducing the amount of synthetic fertilizers, water and pesticides required. Most importantly, a
rejuvinated lawn stays greener and looks thicker and healthier.

High Quality Grass Seed
We only use grass seed blends and mixes of high quality improved grass seed varieties that have scored well on the National Turfgrass
Evaluation Program (NTEP) trials.  The NTEP tests grass seed under stringent guidelines, good quality grass seed is free of undesirable
grass species and other species that are difficult to control.  Top performing varieties have been chosen for color, density, as well as other
desirable traits.  We use a variety of blends which include; Kentucky Bluegrasses, and Endophyte enhanced perennial ryegrasses and fescues.
Varieties having high endophyte levels (over 90%) means excellent resistance to the following turf insects: sod webworms, billbugs, chinch bugs,
armyworms, and aphids.

Fast and Easy
The two step process is easy, we use a core aerator followed by a slit seed machine to add vigor and rejuvenate your lawn.
